Vonderhaar’s Catering is getting a new name—DelightMore.
We’re excited to announce that in 2023 Vonderhaar’s will merge with Funky’s Catering to form a new company, DelightMore.
Don’t worry, the Vonderhaar’s legacy of quality and service isn’t going anywhere. Our kitchen will still be in Cincinnati, now on Tennessee Ave, and our same team will be here for you—as we have been for 52 years. Nothing’s changing with your event plans. Our merger with Funky’s Catering will only enhance our ability to serve you with the quality and care you expect.
As for the name, DelightMore better represents our mission. As we say, service excellence and culinary delight are more than promises, they’re part of who we are.

Vonderhaar’s Catering Today…
The market is still in existence today and is located at 19 W. Pleasant St. in Reading, Ohio. Don, Sr. married in 1970 and catered his own wedding – his first catered event. He received requests to cater for family and friends and the catering business took off from there. Since then the business has grown by leaps & bounds. In 1995 Don, Sr. semi-retired and Don, Jr. has taken over daily operations. Our style of catering has changed over the past 40 + years. We provide all types of set ups from casual to elegant buffets, along with sit down dinner service as well.
Vonderhaar’s Catering in the Beginning…
Don Vonderhaar, Sr. bought the small market in which he worked in 1969.
Our business started with approximately 1100 square feet and today has grown to over 14,000 square feet. We try to provide a wide variety of menus, striving to meet our customer’s needs! Our experienced catering team will be glad to customize a menu based on your request! We cater to all types of events and clients including social and corporate events, private gatherings, reunions, company outings and wedding receptions. Vonderhaar’s Catering prides itself to the personal attention that we give each customer, along with providing excellent quality food and service.
